Nellie Clingenpeel Holley, age 95 of Rocky Mount passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017.
She was born on July 15, 1921 in Dillons Mill, a daughter of the late Jubal A. and Nora M. Clingenpeel, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Russel Holley; sisters, Addie (Dot) Dyer, Nell Holland; brothers, George, Reggie, Roy, Herman, Earl, Forrest and Raymond Clingenpeel. She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Buford, Herbert, William and Charlie Holland; sisters-in-law, Eva Dillon and Ellen Dillon.
She is survived by her special nephews, Jack Holland, Darrell Holland, Walter Clingenpeel and wife Barbara; numerous other nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, John and Mary Holland, Silas Holland; sister-in-law, Janice Holland. Nellie is also survived by her church family at Fairview Church of the Brethren; and her many neighbors on Rakes road.
A very special thanks and appreciation to Sally Martin and Lisa for their wonderful care shown and given to Nellie.
Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 with Pastors Jeff Wray and Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke.
