Pat Jefferson Chitwood

Madeline Jefferson Chitwood (Pat) age 92 of Wirtz passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 peacefully with her family by her side. She retired from E.I. DuPont with 35 years of service. She was born on July 25, 1924 a daughter of the late Grover and Elizabeth Altice Jefferson. She was also preceded in death her husband, Raymond Chitwood; daughter, Judy Gail Chitwood; four brothers, Victor, Edward, Raymond and Claude Jefferson; five sisters including an infant sister, Ella Cannaday, Gertrude Jones, Viola Reiley and Mae Via. Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Kim Chitwood; two grandchildren, Lynn Chitwood and Madison Chitwood; sister, Mary Brown; sister-in-law, Temple Law; her caregivers, Juanita David and Joyce Jones; other family members, church family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) with The Rev. Doug Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Family Cemetery at the home.
