Patricia Criner Light

Patricia Criner (Baby) Light, age 71, of Callaway passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born July 2, 1941 daughter of the late Roy E. Criner and Frances Mathena Criner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Algie Lee Light. Surviving are her three children, Gary Bowman and his wife, Sharon of Vinton, Gloria Beagle and her husband, Ben of Belhaven, NC, Glenda Dodson and her husband, Ray of Rocky Mount; step-son, Jason Light; six grandchildren, Gregory Bowman, Scott Bowman, Stephanie Bowman, Allie Shrewsbury, Kendall Dodson, Kara Dodson; two brothers, her twin brother, Johnnie Criner and wife, Pat of Roanoke County, Kenneth Criner and wife, Becky of Roanoke; two sisters, Ruth (Pinky) Dennis of Salem, Joan Norris of Roanoke; special friend, Ronnie Wray of Boones Mill. A celebration of her life will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Gogginsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Gogginsville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 111 Gogginsville Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
