Pagans, Pete Lawson,Junior, 76, of Moneta, went home to our Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Pete was the son of the late Frances and Pete Lawson Pagans, Sr. Pete is preceded in death by his first wife of 38 years Edith Frankie Pagans, as well as brothers Ervin and Mearl Pagans; sisters Ruby and Drucilla; and granddaughter Monica Pagans. Pete is survived by three daughters; one son and their spouses: Yvonne Bousman and Junior Farmer, Donna and Scott Dawson, Cornelia and Kyle Cook, Edwin and Daisy Pagans all of Moneta; grandchildren Chelsea Bousman, Jason , Jessica, Sean and Luke Dawson, Haley Cook, Edwin Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Heather Pagans, Hannah and Thomas Gardner; great-grandchildren Erica and Ethan Pagans, and Brittney Dawson. Survivors also include his current wife of 11 years, Anne Nolan Pagans, and three step-children, LeAnne Nolan of Roanoke; Terri Robertson and husband Mike of Moneta; and David Nolan and wife Tina of Salem. Surviving brothers and sisters include Flossie, Nancy, Mildred, Estelle, Henry and William. Pete was retired from Rubertex with 38 years service. He had proudly served as chairman of the Board of Deacons of both Mt. Ivy and Westlake Baptist Church for many years. Pete, commemorated at the Rocky Mount War Memorial, also served his country in the U. S. Army. Pastors Justin Likens, Scott Dawson, Joe Dillon & Melvin Harris will officiate at Petes service held at Westlake Baptist Church on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Ivy Christian Church Cemetery. His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Westlake Baptist on Thursday. Arrangements by Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount.
