Raymond Lee Board

Raymond Lee Board, Sr., age 72, of Wirtz, VA went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 19, 2012. He was born August 27, 1940 the son of the late Harry William Board and Elizabeth Hutcherson Board. Mr. Board was a member of the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge #252 and the Rotary Club where he received the Paul Harris Award. He was a faithful member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. He retired from HCA as a Hospital Administrator with many years of service. He loved wood working and his two special pets, Molly and Little Kitty. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Celia Beale Board of Wirtz; two sons, Raymond (Ray) Lee Board, Jr. and Daniel (Dan) Board and his wife, Deanna; grandson, Adam Spenser; all of Virginia Beach; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sonny and Jean Beale, Catherine and Jimmie Holt; Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Conner Bowman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. before the service.
