Reggie Clifton Rigney

Reggie Clifton Rigney, age 88 of Rocky Mount, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021. He was born December 22, 1932 to the late Harry and Annie Mae Rigney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Rex Martin Rigney and a daughter Kathy Rigney Herrera. Reggie worked at Stanley furniture most of his life and served his county by volunteering with his local rescue squad. He enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar but loved his family the most of all. Surviving are a son Lonnie Rigney (Kathy); daughter Rhonda Blackwood; four grandchildren Brian, Cliff, Greg and Julia; great-grandchildren Ashley, Annaliese, Keegan, Ava and Aria; brothers Shelbon Rigney and Gerald Rigney. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will be receiving friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Market Place Dr., Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Reggie's family respectfully request no visitors at their home.
