Regina A. Thompson

Regina A. Thompson (Oma) of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 17, 2017. She was born June 7, 1933 in Neisse, Germany. Regina was the beloved wife of Daniel D. Thompson of Rocky Mount. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Gerda and J.L. Gordon of Salem; son Bernd Bachmann of Germany; son and daughter-in-law Brian and Mandy Thompson of Salem; Grandchildren Tina Foley (Michael) of Roanoke, Timo Gordon of Salem, Brian Thompson of Salem, Katlin Thompson of Salem, Samuel Woodall of Georgia; Great-Granddaughters Carmon Hairston of Rocky Mount and Kyndall M. Gordon of Salem. Her family would especially like to thank grandson Timo Gordon for all his loving care and compassion to his grandmother during this difficult time. Also special thanks to Carilion Hospice nurses Karen, Emily and Kitty for taking care of Oma and the family. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whom will be greatly missed by all. WE LOVE YOU AND WE WILL MISS YOU! A visitation will be held Monday at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) from 4-6 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6:00 officiated by Chaplain Rick Poland.
