Rhonda Johnson, age 48, of Wirtz, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born February 11, 1964, the daughter of Brenda Johnson and the late, Alvin Johnson. Surviving are her brother, Chipper “Alvin” Johnson and his wife Patti Johnson; nephews, Nikki and A.J. Johnson; niece, Jessica Johnson; great-niece, Jaylynn Moorman; special friend, Ken Ramsey; and two special caretakers, Jan Davis and Carolyn Harrison, and Henrietta Heimer. Rhonda was a great joy to her family and friends. Graveside services will be conducted from Mountain View Memorial Park 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Jerry Naff officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Smith Mountain Lake Church of the Brethren, 6675 Burnt Chimney Road, Wirtz, VA 24184.
