Richard Ray Dillon

Richard Ray Dillon, age 90 of Glade Hill, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was born May 5, 1924 a son of the late Everette and Mary Brooks Dillon. He is survived by his son, Glenn Dillon; daughters, Barbara Moreland (Dwight), Joyce Schmidt (Clint); grandchildren, Barbara Ann Bower, David Wright, Karry Hodges, Jessica Haley and Marcus Walters, Toni Wright, Sherry Musgrove, Vanessa Schmidt and Derrick Schmidt; nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Daisy Anne Manning; special sister-in-law Ruby Dillon; numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 with Pastors Joe Dillon and David Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia.
