Robert "Bob" M. Thomas

Today I had to say goodbye to my partner in life. I held his hand and witnessed the last loving gaze he will ever give anyone or anything. My soul is broken. He was a good man and his heart was always there for the ones he loved. I have to believe that somehow, sometime, our souls will again be joined by the bond of love we share. Bob was born September 4, 1937 in the borough of The Bronx in New York City, to Martin and Teresa Thomas. He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Anna and is also survived by his children, Michael and Debbie; granddaughter, Carolyn; grandson, Ryan, who resided at the home. He is also survived by his brother, George Thomas, step-son Patrick Montgomery and step-grandchildren, Alex Smith, James Dehling, Samantha and Madison Montgomery. Bob will be waked Friday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at his home, 156 Windmere Trail, Moneta, VA 24121. Gifts in his memory may be made to Blue Ridge Public Television, Trinity Ecumenical Parish of Smith Mountain Lake, VA or to Doctors without Borders.
