Robert Crafton Ellis

Robert Crafton Ellis, age 89, of Hardy, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was born December 20, 1927, a son of the late Dana Ellis and Mary Bobbitt Ellis. Also preceding him in death were brothers, John Calvin Ellis and Arthur Ellis, and his sister, Willie Ellis Harrison. He was a member of Oyler’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Lauretta Louise Robertson Ellis, sisters-in-law, Brenda Robertson (Bobby), Rachel Pruitt and family, Special Nephew, Jeff, Chrystal, Jake, and Carys Robertson, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, special neighbors, Howard and Louise Guy, Dale Rush, Nicky and Tabitha Ellis, Wayne Ellis, and lifetime personal mechanic, Kenneth Pagans. Special thanks to the entire staff and nurses of Trinity Mission for going above and beyond these last three months of his life. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Barton and the Rev. Melvin Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Oyler’s Chapel UMC Cemetery.
