Robert Lee “Bob” Morgan, PhD age 89 of Moneta went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
Bob served on active duty in the Pacific Fleet from 1953 to 1957. He was commissioned in the Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant in 1957 and retired from the Reserves in 1967 and retired as a Manager from DuPont Company in 1989 with over 30 years of service and then became Director of Environmental Management for Balfour Beatty (BICC – British Industrial Calendars and Cables) retiring in February, 2018. Bob was also an active member of Trinity Ecumenical Parish and was an avid water fowl hunter.
He was born November 26, 1929 a son of the late Walter Cartwright Dennis Morgan and Cordelia Pearl Conner Morgan Pasternak and was also preceded in death by a son, Kenny Morgan; a sister, Bettie Parker; and his former wife, Nancy D. Tanner.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pidge Morgan; his children, Margaret M. Tanner (Carwin), Erik Nicholsen (Jennifer), Faith Smith (Kevin) and Cybelle “Tinker” Nicholsen-Pachter; grandchildren, Morgan Hashem (Matt), Hannah Smith, Sydney Smith, Trey Smith, Emily Smith, Annika Pachter, Finn Pachter, Liv Pachter, Callum Nicholsen and Gage Nicholsen; and his sister, Shirley Morgan Reich.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Trinity Ecumenical Parish with Pastors Philip Bouknight, Gary Scheidt and Bea Miller officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium with military honors.
