Robert Carlton ( Toby ) Saunders

Robert Carlton Toby Saunders, Jr., age 65 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, January 2, 2011. Toby was born September 1, 1945, a son of the late Robert C., Sr. and Nellie Journell Saunders and was also preceded in death by a sister, Nana Keffer; and sister-in-law, Peggy Hajacos. He is survived by his wife, Kebbie Saunders; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and David Callis; his grandchildren, Brad Huddleston, Cory Huddleston and wife Tashy and Stephanie Huddleston; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Rebecca and Hayes Huddleston; sister, Roberta Cooper; sister-in-law, Betty Bradley; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The family would like to say a special thanks to the Palliative Care and Hospice Team of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 with Pastor Gary Hoffman officiating.
