Ronald Wayne Swim

Ronald Wayne (Ron) Swim, age 64, of Wirtz, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years Brenda Barker Swim; mother, Mary Kay Price; two brothers, John Swim (Shirley), Danny Swim (Sharon); half-brothers, John Ralph Price, and Kirby Price (Chris); two sons, Ronnie Swim and Bryce Freeman, Jr.; four daughters, Deb Hendrick (Brad), Sherry Lavis (Joe), Angela Barker, and Lori Swam (Cory); fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Hanabury and Sandra Hall with Lewis-Gale ENT, and special thanks to Angie Routt for her support as a great friend and neighbor. A graveside service will be conducted from Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Roanoke, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011, with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating.
