Ronnie Lee "Smitty" Smith

Ronnie Lee “Smitty” Smith age 76 of Gretna and formerly of Wirtz passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1943 a son of the late Charlie and Erlene Poff Smith. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Martin; and stepchildren, Deborah Sigmon and Joey Sigmon. Smitty is survived by his wife, Edith W. Smith; son, Michael Lee Smith; daughter, Tammy “Smitty” Smith and wife, Lynda; his other children, Marty Sigmon (Peggy), Ricky Sigmon (Mary); daughter-in-law, Sarah Sigmon; sister, Jean Wampler (Bill); brothers, Gary Smith and friend Linda and Charles Willie Smith; grandchildren, Darin Scott (Mary Ann), Jeannie Sigmon (Warren), April Camp (Doug), Steve Sigmon. He is also survived by other family members and numerous friends. Due to the executive orders in place by our Governor in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
