Roy Tyree Dillon

Roy T. Dillon, 83, of Glade Hill, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Roy is survived by his loving wife Magdalene (Maggie) of 55 years; two sons, Tony R. Dillon, Todd T. Dillon (Debbie) of Sydnorsville; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Fralin; two brothers, Perry Dillon , Lenford (Eb) Dillon; sister-in-law, Shirley Holland; numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ped and Mary White Dillon; sister, Paris Smith; brother-in-law, Tommy Lee Smith; sister, Betty Ann Dillon; and an infant brother. Roy was retired from Davis Elliot after 41 years of service. He loved hunting and fishing, his true passion was farming. Roy will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank Carilion Franklin Hospice for their wonderful care and thank you to Pastor David Burgess and Reverend Brad Dulaney. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor David Burgess and Reverend Brad Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in the Dillon Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M. before the service starts at the funeral home.
