Roy Hoback

Roy Lane Hoback, age 72, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024. He was born May 31, 1952 to Cecil Hoback and Maxine Burnopp. He spent his final years in Boones Mill, VA spending time with his wife, son, great-granddaughter, and many friends and family. He was a long time employee of FSI Auto Sales and Heatherwood Properties. Roy enjoyed the lake, camping, yard sales, and his work of many trades.

He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Hoback; mother, Maxine Burnopp; brother, Dave Hoback; granddaughter, Amber Hoback; brother-in-laws, Billy Salyer and Darrell Stidham. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margie Hoback; son, Michael Hoback; granddaughter, Ashley Hoback (Alisha); great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Hoback; brothers, Bobby Hoback (Irene) and Joe Burnopp (Brenda); sisters, Gail Mullins (Greg), Brenda Young, Belinda Burnopp, Sandy Salyer, Sue Poole, and Patty Stidham; daughter-in law, Mary Jenkins; sister-in-law, Tammy Sink (Brian); special friends, Rick and Theresa Streich, and Glenn Frith; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He will be missed by many. There will be no funeral services at this time.
