Ruby Harrison Dillon

Ruby Harrison Dillon age 75 of Rocky Mount went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving and caring family. Ruby was a member of Henry Fork Church of the Brethren. She was born August 15, 1942 a daughter of the late Thomas Newburn and Elsie Mae Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garland Dillon; sons, Gerry and Rockie Dillon; grandson, Joseph Hodges; brother, Allen Harrison; sister, Nancy Hall; daughter-in-law, Carol Dillon; and son-in-law, Smokey Hodges. She is survived by sons, Gary Dillon (Twyla), Timmy Dillon (Bea); daughters, Debbie Hodges, Lisa Newcomb (Mike) and Christie Setliff (Brian); her grandchildren, Brandon Dillon (Mark), Tracy Daniel (Bobby), Patrick Dillon (Hannah), Megan Widener (Josh), April Newcomb (Alex), Rebecca Dillon and Chloe Setliff; nine great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Savanna Moore, Jodie and Stormie Hodges, Madison and Charlotte Dillon, Graydon, Ava and Audrick Widener.She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Noel “Tom” Harrison, Benny Harrison (Joyce), Janet Hudson, Joyce Yopp (Jimmy), Glenda Dooley (Mark) and Lynne Harrison; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The family would like to express a very sincere thank you to Pastor Ronald Coleman, her church family at Henry Fork, Carilion Hospice of Franklin County and the many friends and family members for their unending love, care and support during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the funeral home to help with final expenses if so desired. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Harrison Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 26th with her family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home. The family is being served by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 VA Market Place Drive (Route 220 @ Wirtz Road) Rocky Mount.
