Russell Edward Altice, age 86, of Glade Hill, passed away on November 6, 2012. He was born April 6, 1926 the son of Rufus and Bessie Altice. Russell retired from J.P. Stephens Company in Rocky Mount and also was the owner and operator of Brush Hill Trailer Park. He was Primitive Baptist by faith and was a loving husband, father, and grandpa to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine of 66 years; one precious daughter, Sandra and her very special friend Benny Smith; two precious grandchildren who were the joy of his life, Leslie and Matt Hall, Julie Law and her very special friend, Courtney Hall. He was looking forward to being a great-grandpa to Madison Belle Hall, in the upcoming year. He is also survived by Sister-in-Law, Ruby Farrar of Vinton, Virginia; Brother-in-Law and wife, William and Eunice Chitwood of Denver, Colorado; numerous cousins and friends; and his very special cat that he loved, “Kitty Baby”!
Funeral Services will be held to honor Russell’s life at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Elder Larry Hollandsworth, Mr. Randy Boone and Rev. Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
