Russell Williams Goodwin

Russell Williams Goodwin, Sr., 54 of Boones Mill lost his battle to cancer on Sunday, December 21, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Russell served his country in both the US Navy and US Army and was the proud groundskeeper of Paradise Acres, the place he called home. Most importantly he was a kind loving husband, father, son and brother who will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Goodwin; son, Russell Goodwin, Jr. (Lauren), North Carolina; grandsons, Marshall R. Ward and Conner Williams Goodwin; brothers, Steve Goodwin (Barbara), Roanoke and Jack Goodwin (Michael), Kentucky; sister, Jody Newman (Leroy), Baytown, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. It was Russell’s final request that he would be cremated and that there would be no services for him at this time.
