Russell Gilbert Hurd, age 87, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty K. Hurd; three sons, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Wheatland Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1560 Wheatland Road, Buchanan, VA 24066 with Pastor Chuck Miller officiating.
