Betty Ruth Eames Huston, age 87 of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 in the local hospital.
She was born on October 13, 1929 a daughter of the late George and Grace Hunt Eames and was also preceded in death by her husband, Adron Ford Huston; four sisters; one brother.
Ruth graduated from Rocky Mount High School and retired from E.I. DuPont Company with 32 years of service. She was of Christian Faith and was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church and later became a member of Light House Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie H. Dalton; her son, Michael L. Huston, both of Rocky Mount; two grandsons, John A. Dalton and Chad L. Huston. She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter Lee and Doris Eames, Billy Wayne and Merle Eames; other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Franklin Health Care and Rehab Center for the care shown and given to Ruth during her stay with them.
The family respectfully requests that food and flowers be omitted but memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of choice.
Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with Pastor Bob Andrews officiating. There will be no visitation.
