Sallie Bernard Roberson

Sallie Bernard Roberson, age 98, of Boones Mill, went to be with her Lord and family on Thursday, July 25, 2013. Miss Sallie was a faithful, long-time member of Bonbrook Baptist Church in Boones Mill, VA. She was born August 18, 1914, a daughter of the late Bud and Mary Bernard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Roberson; daughter, Dorothy (Irene) Peters; son, Frank Jr. Roberson; sons-in-law, Buck Taylor and Everette (Pete) Peters; sisters, Melvie Meade and Lizzie Roberson; brother, Wilcie Bernard; and an infant brother. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Taylor; daughter-in-law, Joneda Roberson; sister, Shirley Bernard Bowles; grandchildren, David (Sue) Roberson, Gary (Kathy) Roberson, Victor (Robin) Peters, James Peters, Donna (Carey) Zeigler, Jeff Taylor, Tim Taylor, and Kelle (Leo) Holy Elk Face; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; special, loving friends, Tom Cain, Pat Taylor, Debbie Broom, her caregivers, Hospice and Team Nurse; and many others. Funeral services will be conducted at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, Sunday, July 28th at 2 pm, with Tom Cain officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
