Sarah Hastings

In the early morning hours of Monday, May 3, 2010 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Kathleen (Kitty) and Gary Ruby our mother took wings and flew home to be with family members who died before her. She was the last survivor born to Charles Simon and Sarah Catherine Ross Snyder and widow of Harold Norman Hastings. Surviving her are four children, Patricia Jane Hastings of Donegal, PA, Robert Allen (Virginia) Hastings of Upland, CA, John Charles (Joan) Hastings of Donegal, PA and Kathleen (Gary) Ruby of Rocky Mount; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and many friends and neighbors. The family would especially like to thank the staffs of CFMH and Carilion Hospice of Franklin County for their special care. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Snyder Funeral Home, Donegal, PA. Funeral services will be conducted from Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, PA. 11 a.m. Friday.
