Gary Scott Young, age 47, of Wirtz, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011. Scott was born July 25, 1964 a son of the late Edward (Ned) and Marie Young; and was also preceded in death by his brother Dempsey Young. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother, and was an accomplished musician with a great love of bluegrass music. He was a true hunter always in search of the “monster buck.” He is survived by his daughters, Amy Freeman (Anthony), and Haley Young; grandchildren, Hunter, Eathan & Layla Freeman, Gracie; Brothers and Spouses, Stephen and Rhonda Young, Randy and Kathy Young; Sister-In-Law, Lynette Cooper; Special Friends, Cindy Ballard, Mike Clements, Jeff Taylor, and Rebecca Norris; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 4 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Interment will be private.
