Shawn Brown

Michael Shawn Brown, age 45 of Wirtz, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Shawn was a truck driver for FedEx Freight with many years of service. He loved to hunt, fish, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Virginia Cavaliers. Another passion of his was cooking. He was a self-taught chef and enjoyed cooking a variety of foods for friends and family. Shawn was also a music lover and enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music including, Country, Rock, and Bluegrass. One of his favorite artists was Chris Stapleton. Family time was important; he especially enjoyed multiple family beach vacations. He has always been a dog lover, and he found much comfort from Lexi, his loyal Labradoodle. Shawn was loved by everyone who crossed his path and will be missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Gibbs Brown; son, Hunter Davis (Chelsea) and family, Jensen and Adysen; parents, Jewitt and Mickey Brown; brother, Jessie Brown (Sierra) and family, Bryson, Brenden, Xander and Addie; special cousins, Ricky Hale (Doris), Gina Shelton, Darlene Leonard (Todd); special aunts and uncles, Alice Hale (Bernice), Brady Brown (Wanda), Mike Lemons (Nina). He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins; special sister-in-law, Sherry Gibbs Cameron (Fred); special brother-in-law, Phillip Gibbs (Penny); nieces, Heather Cameron, Samantha Dutch (Erick), and Rylee Jeffers (Michael); other great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by many other family members and many friends. A celebration of his life will held at a later date.
