Shelton E. Radford

Shelton E. Radford, age 71 of Ferrum, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012. He was born November 10, 1940 to the late Eslie S. and Bertha Underwood Radford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shelton Melvin Radford. He was a loving husband and father. Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Radford; daughters Jenny Dixon (Darrell), Donna LaPrade (Donald Quinn); grandchildren Brandie Dixon, Brooklyn Dixon, Dakota LaPrade, and Taylor LaPrade; sister Sylvia Manning; brothers Bobby Radford (Joyce), Billy Radford (Claudine), Ray Radford (Naomi); nieces and nephews Wesley Radford, Gala Wilson, Tim Radford, Junior Trail, Sandra Vernon and Patricia Snodgrass; special friends Wendy Campbell and James Brogan. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Monday with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
