Shirley Ann Hodges, age 64 from Rocky Mount, born May 9, 1947 went home to Heaven on August 31, 2011.
Welcoming her to Heaven were her parents Willie and Dorthory Stump; her husband Andrew Clifton Hodges; her daughter Lisa Brooks Hunt; granddaughter Crystal Lynn Hunt along with passed grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews, and cousins.
She will be loved and missed on earth by her children Tracy Ayers (Paul), Daniel Garrison "Toby" Brooks, and Douglas "Leon" Brooks (Linda); as well as her grandson Christopher "Daniel" Brady; and step grandchildren Kenny Keen, Kathy Chisom, and Lori Pruitt; and her great-grandchildren Megan Keen, Brandon Keen, CJ Keen, and Bryson Pruitt; and great-great-grandson Zaiden Angles. Surviving mourners also include her mother-in-law Hazel Hodges; sister Dixie Beckner; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Callaway.
Shirley’s family will receive friends Saturday, February 11, 2012 prior to the service beginning at 12 noon until service time at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, Route 220 at Wirtz Road, Rocky Mount.
