Shirley M. Robertson

Shirley Minnix Robertson, age 74 of Rocky Mount passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Brandon Oaks Nursing and Rehab Facility. She was the Office Manager for Franklin Memorial Park, and a member of Boones Mill Baptist Church. She and her late husband, Carliss, were married for 45 years. Shirley was born on May 15, 1942, a daughter of the late Lewis and Mary Spangler Minnix and also preceded in death by her husband, Carliss Robertson in November, 2015. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Jim Van Cleaf, Boones Mill; sisters, Louise Gibson, Carol Tyree, and Bonnie Minnix; brother-in-law, Larry Robertson (Audrey). She is also survived by many other family members and friends including a special niece, Denise Prillaman. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 with Dr. Richard D. Harrell, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
