Susan Gail Barker, 66 of Roanoke, Virginis gained her angel wings on Nov. 29th, 2021 due to complications from Covid -19
Susan was born to Owen L. And Alice (Hughes)Barker on February 19, 1955 in Old Christiansburg Hospital.
She attended Conehurst Elementary School in Roanoke and continued on to Andrew Lewis High school in Salem, Virginia.
Susan always enjoyed family picnics, trips to grandmas house, family reunions, family birthdays and superbowl parties. She really just enjoyed being with family, especially at Christmas. She poured love into candy tins she put together and when she knew you liked a certain candy, she would always give extra pieces of that favorite candy. Holidays or events when family was together, she would take time asking how each person was and always wanted to know the latest happening with each and every one, always giving best wishes to all.
She also had a deep love for animals and had several pets through the years. We always looked forward to her correspondence as it usually had some type of creature on, in, or postage stamped with. It truly showed the gentleness of her soul.
She was preceeded in death by her father Owen L. Barker in Sept 2020..
Susan is survived by her longtime companion Robert (Bob) Adams of Rocky Mount Va; daughter Amanda (Travis Arthur);mother Alice (Hughes) Barker; brothers Roger (Janice) Barker, Robert (Wanda) Barker ; Sister JoAnn (Mickey)St.Clair; grandaughters Jamie E.
