Swanson "Smokey" Thurman

Swanson “Smokey” Thurman, age 79 of Glade Hill, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was born August 25, 1938 and was preceded in death by his wife Linda Smith Thurman. Mr. Thurman loved trucking, farming and his grandbabies. He is survived by his loving family. Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Conner Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. His family will be receiving friends from 1-3 p.m. before the service on Sunday and other times at his home: 724 Byrds Mill Rd., Glade Hill, VA.
