Thelma Wuergler Maxey

Thelma Wuergler Maxey, 75, of Hardy, VA passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. She was born February 10, 1942 the daughter of the late Ray William Wuergler and Hazel Robertson Wuergler. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Kevin Maxey and sister, Edith Wuergler Dillon. Surviving are her husband, Charles Ferris Maxey; son, Gregory Todd Maxey; three grandchildren, Charles Justin Maxey, Walker Todd Maxey, Journi Makahla Maxey; brother, Simon “William” Wuergler. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Halesford Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Halesford Baptist Church before the service starts.
