Thomas Elmer Snead

Thomas Elmer Snead, age 92, joined his beloved wife Dolores in their heavenly home on Saturday, August 6, 2022, surrounded by his daughters. He was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Dolores Bowling Snead. In addition to his wife, Tom was predeceased by his siblings, Zonie Snead Shively, Lonnie Snead Brogan, Madie Snead Shively and Roy Edward Snead. Tom is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Kenneth) Snead Curran and Trudy Snead Brown. In addition to his daughters he is survived by grandchildren Jason Mullins and Traci (Chris) Gregory. He is also survived by great grandchildren Henry Gregory, William Gregory, Caroline Gregory and James Gregory. Tom was employed by GE for 41 years and, upon retirement, enjoyed taking bus trips with the retiree group. He was also an avid hunter and NASCAR fan. Tom looked forward to spending time with friends and family and was a passionate gardener, always sharing the bounty with those around him. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to Dr. Vandana Karri and Gentle Shepherd Hospice, and his special caregiver Pam Hinkle. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Elders Carl and Mark Terry officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:30 AM up until the service. The family requests and encourages the use of facial masks.
