On Friday, December 24, 2021, our beloved Trevor James Beyer, exchanged time for eternity.
Trevor was a Veteran of both the U.S. Marine Corp and U.S. Army. While in the Marines he served in the Persian-Gulf War. After his military service he went into law enforcement, worked with his brother at his painting and renovating company, and eventually went into Mortgage Banking. For the past 15 years Trevor worked as a Conductor-Engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Trevor was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was passionate about teaching his son and others about gun and hunter safety. He was a Hunter Safety Instructor and mentor with the Virginia DGIF, and every year he participated in the Claytor Lake Youth Hunt. Both of these programs were dear to his heart. However, Trevor’s greatest joy was spending time with his son, Tristen, teaching him everything he knew about the outdoors. They spent many hours together wandering through the woods looking for the perfect hunting spot, hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved spending time with Tristen’s homeschool family.
Trevor was preceded in death by his father, Roger Beyer; and a sister, Jannette Irvin. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Heather M. Beyer; his 15-year-old son, Tristen James Beyer; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Laura and Jim Bowles whom he loved dearly; his mother, Ann Beyer, siblings, Emma Brown, Monica Megonigal, his twin sister Tracey Beyer, Brandon Beyer (Amy), and Derick Hampton (Angie). He is also survived many relatives and special friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring and will be announced by the funeral home.
