Vera Brogan Midkiff

Vera Brogan Midkiff, age 88 of Ferrum, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011. She was born February 10, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Eural Midkiff; a daughter Sheila Midkiff Prillaman; several brothers and sisters. Surviving is her daughter Teresa Cannaday (Leon); grandchildren Stacy Hall (Jamie), Daniel Cannaday (Tonya); great-grandsons Chris and Austin Hall; brother Wayne Worley (Brenda); sister-in-law Pat Worley; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad or to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Calvin Hickson officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
