Virginia Crouse

Virginia Chitwood Crouse, age 88 of Callaway, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Crouse and by many family members of the Ridgway family. Mrs. Crouse was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and she was retired from Roanoke City Nursing Home. She was a great cook and love gardening. Surviving are her children Bonnie Shelton (Sammy) of Bassett, Donna Curry (Carl) of Columbia, SC, Michael Chitwood (Peggy) of Hardy, and Vickie Smith (Eddie) of Callaway; grandchildren Stacy Minter (Johnny), Matthew Shelton (Summer), Scott Curry, Jason Curry, Michael Chitwood, James Chitwood and Jacob Smith; a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) 11:00 a.m. Monday with Rev. Tony Beach and Dr. Billy Shively officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
