Wade A. Register

Wade A. Register, Jr., age 71 of Boones Mill passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016. He retired from Valley Star Credit Union, was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving our country from 1968 to 1972, a member of the American Legion and his passion in life since a young boy was sailing and he took pride in being a skilled sailor. He was known to many as a Marine, a husband, father, grandfather and Coach Wade. Wade was born on May 17, 1945 a son of the late Wade A., Sr. and Love Dixon Register and also preceded in death by his sister, Jane Register. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Mallen-Register; children, Tony Register (Christine), Brian Scott Register, Jennifer Register-Lubinski (Keith), David Register (Erin) and Alex Register; grandchildren, Christopher, Zachary and Nathan; brother, Steve Register (Lynn); sister, Frances Joyner (Wayne). A celebration of life service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Beliveau Estate Winery, 5415 Gallion Ridge Road, Blacksburg, VA 24060 with his family receiving friends prior to and after the service.
