Walter Glenwood (Daddy, Papa) Hall, age 78, of Rocky Mount, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Christmas night, surrounded by his family. He was a member of Wirtz Assemblies of God Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Mort and Gladys Hall; brothers, Allen and Daniel Hall. He left behind his loving wife of 53 years, Rita Hall; two sons and daughters-in-law, Barry (Arleen) Hall and their children, Jessica, Daniel, and Josh, and Ronnie (Brenda) Hall and their children, Cindy, Brittney, and Makayla; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna (Rev. Denver) Turner and their children, John (Marcia) and Crystal, Melissa (Ricky) Curry and their children Will (Paula), Jason, Eugene (Ashley) and Shane (Teresa), Glenda and her children Matt (Leslie) and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Casey, Cierra, John, Alexis T., Annika, Zach, Logan, Legend, Savannah, Alexis H., Ashton, Courtney, and Michael; one brother, Kent (Claudine) hall; three sisters, Bertha (Gordon) Hammock, Margie (Perry) Holland, Sandra Truman and friend Thomas; four brothers-in-law, Bobby (Sandra) and Witchell (Linda) Hall, Jimmy Garett and Oneil Hundley; five sisters-in-law, Sue (John) Altice, Dean Hubbard, Pat Karr, Nancy Hall and Patsy (Larry) Morris; his little playmates, Bradin and Conner Altice, that he considered as grandsons; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Julie Law (Runt), Tommy Moore, and Wayne Hodges; very special caregivers, Sue and Mindi Altice that he loved like daughters; Good Samaritan Hospice and his dog, Coco. Last but not least, a special thanks to our angel with a generous heart. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 30, with Rev. Denver Turner and Rev. Russell Prunty officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore Family Cemetery.
