Our daddy was a master gardener, there was nothing he couldn't make grow. When gardening season was over he told us he started planning and dreaming about what he was going to start planting the next season. How to treat the soil, to get the compost bin right, get the fertilizer and nitrogen in the land and get it turned before the hard winter came with help of others, but dreaming about what he would grow the next season. Not to make money, but to give away to his family and friends.
But more than his garden, he loved his family. He loved watching wrestling, westerns, and church services. Not many of you know our daddy was a minister, he studied many years. He has many certificates and licenses. He was an ordained minister, he knew every chapter in the bible. You could ask him a question about the bible and he could tell you what chapter and verse to find it in. Many looked at daddy as a rough and tough guy, a farmer with dirt clad shoes, old tattered clothing and tobacco juice dripping down his chin, but underneath the rough exterior was a soft and gentle heart. The man that we knew was a different man than the rest of the world knew. To his children, Dianna (Sissy) and Charles (Rudy) our daddy was as big as a mountain. He was as tall as an old oak tree when we stood on the floor and looked up at him. His hands and fingers were as thick as a 2x4 but when he sat down to talk to us and teach us something his heart was pure and we knew he truly loved us. We are going to miss that man forever. We love you daddy and we are glad you waited so we could see your spirit and soul go to paradise. You are at peace and you totally deserve it, we are so proud of you.
Your children, Sissy and Rudy.
