Wayne M. Doughty

Wayne M Doughty, Sr., age 73, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Atlantic City, Wayne was a son of the late, Orion and Marion. He lived, worked and raised his family in Pennsylvania. Wayne worked as a Produce manager and relocated to Virginia to enjoy retirement. His passion was selling cars and golfing with his wife. He also was an avid sports fan and especially loved to watch the Flyers and Eagles. Wayne was predeceased by brothers Orion III, Gary and James. Surviving to cherish the memories are his loving wife of 50 years, Joan; children Steven (Robyn), Lisa, James (Darla) and Wayne (Laura), 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson. He is also survived by, brothers Robert, Raymond, William and sister, Donna and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Memorial services will be held at Saint James United Methodist Church 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019 with Reverend Matthew Ricks officiating. The address is Route 40, Ferrum, VA and the family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at the church.
