William "Bill" Cundiff

        
William “Bill” Cundiff, 75, of Rocky Mount, Va. passed away suddenly Monday, June 12, 2023. He is a son of the late William Oscar Cundiff and Ruthie Mae Hall. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Mae Dillon and brothers-in-law, Curtis, James, Howard, and Charles Wagner; sister-in-law, Alpha Hale and Nancy Wagner.

Bill always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He loved his family dearly and always enjoyed visiting family, family gatherings and lending a helping hand whenever he could. Bill never missed a ball game or wrestling match that his son and grandchildren were playing/competing in. He loved working and tending his garden and had a green thumb and could make anything grow. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Voleria W. Cundiff; his son, Doug Cundiff (Betty); sister, Margaret Morris (Allan); grandchildren, Seth Cundiff (Samantha), Jace Cundiff and David Perdue; great-grand-daughter, Nevaeh (Rosebud); brother-in-law, Albert Wagoner; sister-in-law, Thelma Wagoner; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the emergency staff at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital for all the compassion and care for Bill and his family especially Ebony, Jenny and Travis Maule.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm, at Conner Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Mkt Pl Dr, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, June 15, 2023 with Pastor Roger Jones and Beverly Strouth officiating at Conner Bowman Funeral Home burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park.
