William Calvin ( Bill ) Harden

William Calvin Bill Harden, age 77 of Boones Mill passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Bill was a longtime devoted member of Boones Mill Baptist Church and retired from the Lane Company of Rocky Mount after 37 years of service. He was born February 25, 1933 a son of the late William A. and Margie M. Harden and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah June Harden; and a sister, Daisy Harden Conner. Surviving are his wife, Lois Wright Harden; sons, William Ronald Harden (Melissa), David Benjamin Harden (Robin Blevins); three loving grandchildren, Lucas, Bethany and Selena Harden; sisters, Betty Perdue, Janet Sue Conner, Ilene Adkins (Jim), Bonnie Robertson (Tony) and Tammy Harden; brothers, Bobby Nelson Harden (Carol), Ronald Wood Harden (Linda), John Harden (Sandy) and Jim Harden (Lisa); aunt, Lucy White, Spartanburg, South Carolina; special brother-in-law, Billie Wright (Gladys); special sister-in-law, Ethel Tritapoe, Frederick, Maryland. Funeral services will be conducted from Boones Mill Baptist Church 11 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 with Dr. Richard D. Harrell, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Boones Mill Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 230, Boones Mill, Virginia 24065.
