William Vernard Dillon

William Vernard Dillon, age 56 of Wirtz, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014. He was born July 7, 1957. He was preceded in death by his mother Elsie Mae “Boots” Dillon; grandparents Jube and Kate Dillon, Bertha Rogers and John and Lucy Fisher; nephew Matthew Lee Dillon; niece Tina Dillon Hartman. He is survived by his father Ezra Vernard Dillon; sister, Bonnie Mitchell (Brady); brothers Richard Dillon (Ethel), and Michael Dillon (Reba); many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Chapel 2p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Steve Pasley officiating. Interment will follow in Gills Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. His family will be receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount.(540)483-5533
