Windle Thomas Wray
Windle Thomas Wray, age 79 of Wirtz passed away Wednesday, February 06, 2013. Windle served in the US Army and retired from J. P. Stevens Co. after 35 years. He also helped at Mabel’s Antiques and later Gary’s Antiques where he met a lot of people and enjoyed talking to them. The family would like to say “Many Special Thanks to Southern Care Hospice also Patty Toler and staff at Red Oak Manor for their care.”
He was preceded in death by his Wife Mabel Angell Wray, Parents Joe Thomas and Vera Holland Wray and In-laws Ralph and Josie Turman.
Survivors are sons Gary Randall Wray, Johnnie Thomas Wray and a daughter Lori Ann Wray. He is also survived by step-daughters Brenda Meador (Tim), Sandra Mills (Jay); step-sons Rodney Stamback (Theresa), Michael Stamback (Joyce); 5 step- grandchildren; Sister Dawn Wray Self (A.L.); Sisters-in-law Mattie Hartman, Hattie Moore, Ann Flowers, Marie Sloan (Robert); nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted from Conner Bowman Funeral Home (Route 220) 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning February 9 with Pastor Joe Dillon and Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will be receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
